I will continue to develop work using glazes and tempera on large format deep edge canvas. COS ’15 and “Resplendent Lands” series was a great success with sales and interest for new pieces. I am working on commissions and have plans to start a new coastal mixed media painting influenced by our recent visit to Leigh-on-Sea and Westcliff-on-Sea. The tempera grassa will work beautifully with these scenes enabling me to produce work that is both vivid and vibrant.

Rain in July
What a summer it has been and where has it gone? Talking about summer, how could I possibly not mention the weather? It’s been totally dire with rain and flooding around my studio. During July, only one week into COS ’15, I was flooded out and it took both Neil and I six hours and 498 buckets to clear all the water, but thankfully no damage. The only happy chappies during this chaos were our two pooches, Miya 3.5 years and Kai just 2 months old German Shepherds who invented a new form of mud sport. The saddest thing was the destruction and demise of our freshly laid turf. As the say there are worse things in life, but I must admit this relentless rain is beginning to dampen my spirits 🙂
