It is unbelievable to think that we are already in July and Cambridge Open Studios starts this coming weekend. Artists are preparing their homes and studios and adding the final touches to their works of art in preparation for the numerous art lovers that annually support the work of local artists.
This year, however, I am not participating in this wonderful event. These past two years have been emotionally exhausting on a personal level, so I thought it might be nice for a change to be a COS visitor and enjoy some creative delights myself.
It has been very difficult developing my planned series, however, I am hoping that all will be complete ready for a solo show in the autumn. There is some regret in not participating this year particularly after the success of last year’s COS. All trees sold and several commissions received. As the COS deadline date crept up on me I knew all other dates would too. So the decision was made to do a major life spring clean in preparation for the autumn, winter and 2014!
I have been unable to participate in many art events this year which is regrettable, however, the calendar will be filling up soon! I hope you like my new, revamped site, but there is still much to do. This weekend 6th & 7th July I have two pieces being auctioned in London, Memorabilia Charity Art Auction. Between 30-100% of sales will go to the Great Ormond Street Hospital.
